Ryu’s 1st Fashion Post

This is the first time I’ll be posting outfits Ryu wears. He’s not dressed up all the time since he spends most of his time at home. However, when I do take him out I want to make sure that he’s dressed up.

There’s nothing like dressing up your child right? I like that Ryu’s dressed like a little man rather than a little baby. I mean he is two years old. I’m not really into dressing toddlers all “cute” almost as if they’re still infants. I like that Ryu’s a growing young little boy. I think he also deserves to dress well like mommy.

Here are pictures from the other day.

Do you know how difficult it is to get pictures of a toddler unwilling to pose? I had to try taking as many pictures and these were the only decent ones I got.

Domo Hat from Journey’s kids/T-shirt from Sears/Jacket from TJ Maxx/ Jeans are Levis/ Cars shoes from Levis (They’re skinny jeans)

I’m still trying to get used to taking pictures of Ryu dressed up. I hope he lets me take better pictures of him in the near future. That way I can update regularly. It’d be nice to be able to document his outfits and mine.

I’m still working on taking pictures of myself. However, I’m still unsure if I’ll be doing it daily. I don’t really have a good full mirror to take pictures of my outfits so I’ll have to figure it out.

Smart and Sexy Lingerie Review

It’s awesome what the internet is capable of doing! I had the chance to write a review on some lingerie I received from Smart and Sexy Lingerie.
Smart and Sexy is a lingerie company that provides sexy and comfortable lingerie that’s completely affordable. I absolutely love the fact that when I went on their site everything is affordable. Nothing is overpriced. I love that there’s a variety of lingerie in different styles, cuts, and colors. Who says looking sexy has to be expensive?
Here’s what Smart and Sexy sent me:

Lightly Lined Underwire Smoothing Satin Bustier – Summer Leopard Print

Extreme Pushup Bra – Sexy Pink

Not sure what this one is. I tried looking for it on their site, but it’s not available.
When I was sent these products they were shipped to me so quickly. I was happy with how fast the products got to me. I ordered a 34B and whatever a medium was for their panties. When I did the review I must say before I received the products I’m not a big fan of lingerie. I don’t really wear any type of sexy undergarments and whatnot. I guess I like to keep it simple.
Feeling the material of the products I was not disappointed with what I got. However, the boyshorts were 2 sizes to big for me, at least that’s what it seemed like. The top part was true to size which was nice. I didn’t have a problem fitting into the bra and the bustier. I emailed them letting them know that I didn’t realize how BIG their medium was and so they sent me a small and was a lot happier with the small size they sent me. They fit nicely. They weren’t snug or anything like that, but of course it was a complete different style from what they sent me in the beginning.

2-pair Cheeky Boyshorts – Illusion/Black

I’m not complaining since I also liked the second pair they sent me. That came to me in no time as well. I had enough time to wear the garments that were sent to me. I must say I’m not a high class sexy type girl, but I enjoyed the materials used in the garment. They were not top notch like what you’d pay hundreds of dollars for, but I was very happy with the feel of the material. It didn’t feel cheap to me.
Here’s a little video I put together with one of the pieces. I just want to let you know that I do not get naked in this video, nor do I bare that much skin at all. I put this video together to showcase how you can wear the bustier out in public with a whole outfit.

I say if you’re looking for something sexy and affordable to check out Smartandsexy.com. I know I’ll be ordering some more items soon. I absolutely enjoyed the items I received.

Please don’t forget to subscribe to my videos on YouTube! I’d appreciate it. If you have any feedback on the site let me know below!

I was not in anyway compensated by Smart and Sexy Lingerie to do this review.

The contest will be going on for exactly 14 days. I chose to make it exactly two weeks because I feel like that’s enough time to have people sign up and that also gives me some time frame to get a little goodie bag together for the winner. Southern Magnolia Minerals Review

I had the opportunity to review a couple products from Southern Magnolia Minerals. Southern Magnolia Minerals is a family owned and operated mineral makeup company located in the foothills of North Carolina.
I got in touch with Southern Magnolia Minerals and was given the chance to review a couple products from their cosmetic line. I was actually very happy with the company because they were so quick to answer any questions or concerns I had. To top off that shipping was extremely fast. I think I waited to receive these products just over the weekend.
I received the tiny packaged wrapped in an envelope that had bubble wrapping to ensure that their products don’t get ruined during the trip to the customer. I then opened up the envelope and the makeup was inside this tiny black bag. It had two cards inside one with the information about the makeup, and the other was a discount card for 10% off next purchased items. However, I didn’t take a picture of the discount card.
In the beginning I was both excited and hesitant to try new products because my skin is very dry and sensitive. I can’t really take chances with my skin because I’m so badly allergic to everything, well almost.
Here are the products that I chose:
The two shadows I initially picked were cream shadow and pinched blush. These two shadows are starter sizes. They’re a gram each in size, and the actual size for the shadows are 2.8 grams. I apologize that my pictures don’t provide the colors justice, but they’re absolutely gorgeous. The colors I chose are matte. I don’t own many matte shades and therefore wanted to choose shades I can wear on the daily.
I also received a sample shade called blue slate. It’s also a matte shade which I absolutely love. I think I want to purchase it once I run out. The best part about these products is that a little goes a long way. You don’t have to constantly keep packing color on to your brush just to get something.
I personally love that the blush is a multi-purpose use product. I can use it eyeshadow or blush.
The prices for the regular sized shadows range fom $12-14.00USD. However, I checked the site and all their products are on sale at the moment from 10-20% off. You should act now and try it out.
The foundation I chose was the Diva Defense Sheer Coverage Mineral Foundation in BUTTERNUT. The color is for light-medium complexions. I was also hesitant at first to get foundation online because I was so unsure if it would match up to my shade. What I liked about the foundation was that it matched me perfectly. The shade definitely matches my light olive skin tone and it’s a bit translucent so it’s not heavy on the face. It’s completely light weight and I don’t feel like I’m wearing makeup at all.

These pictures don’t really do me any justice. However, I’m not sure if you can tell, but I love that the foundation did really well in covering up the acne scars I have and all the pimples I have at the moment. I also like that it’s light on my face, and when the sun hits it just looks flawless. I also like that when I take a picture there’s no light cast that shines on my face. My favorite has got to be the blush. I love how pigmented it was against my skin. It complimented my shade and it wasn’t too overbearing or overpowering. I think it’s the perfect shade for me.
As far as the shadows go I love them too. I love the matte colors and that a little product goes a long way. Overall, I give this product an A+. I absolutely love that my face hasn’t had an allergic reaction to the product. Believe me I get horrible, horrible reactions with almost anything including MAC. I am very glad that this product hasn’t done any damage to my face.
My skin is usually very dry and I don’t usually recommend mineral makeup for people with dry skin. However, from what I’m seeing it’s done wonders for my face. I feel like my makeup is so much brighter! To top off the fact that I feel like it’s a ton lighter. If you have allergic reactions like I do this would be a great alternative to using makeup.
I was not compensated for this review. This review was strictly my views and opinions about the company.

Happy Halloween.

I just wanted to greet everyone a Happy Halloween and I hope that you all have a fantastic one. Remember to be as safe as you can out there! Enjoy your Halloween, LOVE ABBY.

Sorry my hair was messed up in some of these looks. I wasn’t really going to go out, lol. The pictures below is the look I wore to work today. Unfortunately, this was a last minute decision and I didn’t have any ears to match it.

Weekend Makeup

Over the weekend I was able to spend some quality time with my son and boyfriend. We went around and we got to purchase my son’s Halloween costume (Thomas the Train). My boyfriend and I even got the chance to just spend some time together which was amazing.
I’ve got to say this is probably one of my favorite weekends with my boys!
Let’s start off with Saturday. My boyfriend and I went to the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. It’s unfortunate that you’re not allowed to take pictures inside. I was really looking forward to taking tons of photos. I was so sad when I read the sign that we’re not allowed to. However, I absolutely enjoyed myself. I hope to come back when Ryu’s a bit older so he can enjoy it with us as well.
For my look that weekend I had the urge to play around with my makeup a little bit more.

These were all taken outdoors and inside the apartment during the daytime. I don’t know if you can tell but my face is very contoured here. It’s really different and to be honest I’m not sure if I like it or not. I feel like my face almost looks fake and my nose is much bigger. I need to work on my contouring. I mean it wasn’t bad, but it just wasn’t my face! I’m not sure if that makes sense, lol.
Btw, I will start posting tutorials for my looks. I just need to find my old camera because it takes a better picture of macro images. Please bare with me. :)

Halloween Makeup

Halloween is a time to be scary, well and pretty too. It just really depends on your preference. However, the video I want to post is pretty awesome. It’s different and not your typical Halloween costume. It’s absolutely pretty yet a bit odd.
Tell me that this isn’t an interesting Halloween look. What I love about it is that it’s pretty artistic. It’s different and it’s a mask. Makeup is so awesome. Imagine all the wonderful things we can do with makeup!

My Smokey Look

On most days there’s only two different looks that are my main “go to” type makeup. I either wear something very neutral which is pretty much basic black liquid liner, heavy blush, and some lipstick or I’ll go for the smokey neutral look.
Don’t get me wrong I love makeup, but with sleeping late, waking up late, and having to rush to work my makeup routine’s sort of cut in half. I had to pretty much get pretty without having to take too long. I’m pretty much used to it considering that I have a toddler now. Time doesn’t really wait for you.
Here’s what I came up with.

Taken outdoors. Please don’t mind my hair, it’s not cooperating today.
I apologize for my cracked lips. It’s peeling right now, blah

I actually like going out and just putting on something simple that’s not going to be completely overwhelming. I also don’t really like wearing too much makeup for some reason. It’s not like before where I made sure I put on a full face everyday.

This is how my makeup looks indoors. With this look I’m using mainly Mac products, but I don’t remember exactly what the names of the shadows were. Honestly, it’s been so long since I’ve written about makeup. I will start to post the name of the products I use once I get the hang of blogging again. Otherwise I used tons of browns for this look.
It’s weird blogging about makeup again. I know I’ll get used to it with time, but hopefully I get better at this. I just want to document my love for makeup and hopefully I do a good job with up-keeping this site. Kudos to me though for running three sites, lol. Okay, that’s nothing to be proud of it’s just extra stress, lol.
